The West Review is an online quarterly journal that publishes quality poetry, flash fiction, interviews, reviews, and art. We are devoted to nurturing, publishing, and celebrating the best in contemporary writing, and we aim to show off new and emerging talent alongside established artists.
The West Review accepts submissions year-round. Although members of our team have their likes and dislikes, we appreciate all writing that moves us and accept all different styles. Send us both the narrative and the lyrical; the frenetic and the contemplative; the “new” and the “traditional.” The West Review commits itself to publishing contributors from groups that have been historically excluded. That is, much of the work we publish comes from writers and artists who are LGBTQIA+, of color, immigrant, disabled, working class, youth, elder, and/or other communities that have historically been overlooked or marginalized by the literary elites. PUBLISHING SCHEDULE We release issues quarterly: once per season. |
